Detailed preparation advice
Rinse and boil for 2 minutes in a large volume of water, then drain (this step helps to ensure that the pulses are well digested). Continue cooking over a low heat in a large volume of water for 20 to 30 minutes. You can add herbs or vegetables to the cooking water.
